I chose Mother’s Day to launch my blog for several reasons, mainly though, because being a mother is where this crafting journey started with me. Years ago, one of hter biggest marketing ploys was an envelope mailed out filled with subscription items. You could subscribe to everything from CD’s to books to crafts to who knows what else. One of these that I received was a subscription to a scrapbook kit from Oxmoor House. The year was 1997 and with a toddler, I thought this was perfect to try. So each month I received a box full of goodies, with paper, stickers, a decorative pair of scissors and a “recipe” card with ideas.

Here we are almost 30 years later, and I still love to craft, although I have expanded beyond just scrapbook pages and that little subscription box. I have created over 30 albums since that first scrapbook and countless cards. I’ve also expanded to off-the-page projects, such as the wall art that hangs over my bed. I also enjoy mixed media projects.

I hope you enjoy this crafting journey with me and look forward to sharing this hobby with you!
